It tastes like the smell of burning oil-cloth or linoleum
Most Hated Cilantro-Containing Food:
Any Thai dish with Cilantro. They tend to use more cilantro than actual food.
Do people in your family hate cilantro, too? Who?
If cilantro were a historical malevolent dictator, who would it be? Why?
Any Mayan king. They all demanded human sacrifice. So does cilantro apparently. The results are just as gruesome either way.
My cilantro story, first experience, recent anecdote, rant, etc...
My first real "high dose" cilantro dish was not surprisingly at a Thai restaurant. It was in soup, it was in the main dish.. It did not stay in my stomach though. It did however linger on the taste-buds for DAYS afterwards. Self decapitation was looking good as a cure for a while there.
More about me:
I loathe cilantro. If there was ever some part of nature that needed to experience genocide, it would be cilantro. I would gladly push the button to start that process.
My hobby would be taking any chef using cilantro, and force-feeding them flaming Thermite. I'm sure the taste of non-flaming Thermite would be sufficient to get the idea into their head that cilantro is vile and metallic. But I think flaming Thermite would be a more permanent fix.
