My cilantro story, first experience, recent anecdote, rant, etc...
Living in South America, I was served a special dish for Easter that was supposed to be really spectacular. I was excited about it until it was placed in front of me and I smelled something rancid. Being polite, I tasted it. My mouth started to water (the way it does when you are going to vomit), I couldn't swallow it.
I spit it out in my napkin, and asked to be excused. I can't eat anything with that weed in it, I truly get ill just smelling it.
More about me:
I am 'taster'. My sister and I have always had issues with eating green peppers. We truly taste things differently than some of the other members of our family. (we had everyone take the test with the chemically treated paper, and we are the only ones who tasted it)
I can smell peppers and cilantro so distinctly, that sometimes other peoples meals in a restaurant can make me queasy.
