My cilantro story, first experience, recent anecdote, rant, etc...
For my parents' anniversary (they hate the foul weed too) we went to Roy's, a toney "Hawaiian fusion" restaurant. I had the forethought to ask the waiter if a dish contained cilantro before ordering it. He came back and informed me that it did, and that it was an integral part of the sauce and couldn't be omitted. This happened three or four more times. I ended up getting my fifth choice on the very limited menu, which was divine...but SERIOUSLY, chefs: there is more than one herb on the planet! Many of which do not taste like stink bugs mashed up inside a jock strap! Come on now!
