Dear compatriots,

It's the start of a new year and the staff here at IHateCilantro.com
have hit the ground running with nary a break for an update. So before
we shut down the office and let the staff attend this afternoon's rally
we felt obliged to let you in on some of the latest site biz.

1. The first IHC newsletter was sent today! Ok, ok, real news this
time...

2. Membership doubled in December and then grew an additional 35% in the
first 3 weeks of January! If you were one of the first 13 to sign up in
August through November, come back and check out all the fresh cilantro
hating faces. We don't condone hazing but sometimes we get so distracted
picking cilantro out of our burritos that something could go by
unnoticed. (Stats conveniently located on the stats page -

3. The staff took a moment out of their busy schedules, sat down with
some crayons and construction paper, and planned out a better look for
the member profiles. You all, we realized, deserved better. After a
full afternoon with lots of naps on cots we came up with a calming,
organized layout that's easier on the eyes. Don't judge - we're
activists not web designers, but feedback is welcome. (Sample profile -

4. Community is about proximity and sometimes the digital divide is just
too vast to cross. You need living proof that people share your
conviction and now our members' locations around the world are
available at a glance. Zoom, pan, and do all the fun things you expect
from Google Maps when you access the Member Map at
http://ihatecilantro.com/map.php !

5. IHC is growing and dynamic. Visit new members, post a comment or read
a story ( http://ihatecilantro.com/stories.php ). Most importantly, help
someone new realize that they're not alone by sharing IHC with them!
