Zoe says "sometimes cilantro needs a replacement" and by sometimes she means every time. But since we aren't Zoe's editors all we can do is pass these tidbits on to you:
- Use "Vietnamese cilantro." [Does this work? Has anybody tried this?]
- Substitute parsley if it's just a garnish.
- Try barley when the recipe calls for a dominant flavor.
