ALL food containing cilantro - it ruins everything it touches
Do people in your family hate cilantro, too? Who?
My sister feels just as strongly as I do - the other freaks in my family love it.
If cilantro were a historical malevolent dictator, who would it be? Why?
My cilantro story, first experience, recent anecdote, rant, etc...
Whenever I order food I ask if there is corriander/cilantro in it, and always request it to be left off (as it is usually a garnish) or I change my order. I usually tell the wait staff that I am allergic to it - that ensures that it doesn't slip in. I get soooooo angry when it turns up unexpectantly. I went to a funky cafe recently for a vegie breakfast and ordered the homemade beans and toast... and stinky cilantro was all through it. Naturally this meant that the entire dish was ruined. When I voiced my complaint that it was not mentioned in the description of the dish, i was told to "pick it out" with a very patronising roll of the eyes- not an option, and not impressed! Needless to say, I did not dine there, and left immediately.
