I got cilantroed today. I'm on a gluten free diet and my husband is trying it. Usually we just go home to eat lunch, it's just so much easier.... Today, however, we didn't have time to run home for lunch and I got us some gluten free entrees from the freezer section of the grocery store and we took them to my office and heated and ate them there. Since the products were certified gluten free, I didn't even bother to read the ingredients because the main items (rice/ black eyed peas/ brocolli/ carrots) are all things I like. However, I took one bite of the product and had an immediate YUCK reaction. It was awful! I read the ingredients and saw the cilantro.
However, since I'd paid so much for the ridiculous little bowl of food, I wasn't going to just throw it away! So I salted it heavily and ate it anyway, loathing every bite. My stomach is making loud rumbling noises now, most unusual. I'm not sure what's going to happen. Perhaps there's a very good reason for me to hate cilantro.
