I am so happy to find this group. Thank God, I AM NOT ALONE! I am so tired of being eyed suspiciously when I request "no cilantro, please". I could identify with the story of being looked at like you said you hated puppies or babies or kittens when you say you do not like Cilantro. I do not remember when I first tasted Cilantro but I remember where I was. It was at our favorite Mexican restaurant. All of a sudden, one day, several years ago, everything in there had Cilantro in it: the salsa, the guacamole, every taco, tostada and burrito. YUCK! Sometimes you can't see the stuff but I can taste its nauseating flavor immediately. It seems that I can taste a single molecule of the stuff and it fouls everything it lands in. Tasting even a tiny, tiny bit makes me feel like I want to puke. My husband and kids laugh at me and think I am being ridiculous. To me, Cilanto tastes much worse than a bar of Ivory soap. It tastes like vomit smells. It pisses me off that so many restaurants and prepared foods use Cilantro in everything now. I do not have a problem with Coriander but I HATE CILANTRO!
