I've long been a cilantro hater, but I live in Los Angeles and love Mexican food, so I am a great believer in ordering carefully. At El Pollo Loco last night, I asked what was in their new carnitas quesadilla. The lady on the mic said, "carnitas, cheese, avocado, onion, and salsa." So I asked for it without the onion or salsa. When I got it home I spied a wee cilantro leaf, and thought, oh, one piece, okay. And then I opened the thing up and it was SMOTHERED IN CILANTRO. ::shudder:: After a long period of cilantro removal activity, I finally got to have my dinner. The End.
