Today I ordered a noodle salad from a Chinese restaurant that sounded delicious. Cold rice noodles, strips of beef, fresh bean sprouts, spring onions, fresh mint, a cut up egg roll and an orange sesame ginger dressing served over a bed of lettuce and sprinkled with crushed peanuts. I was so excited to take a bite only to find out that instead of fresh mint they had used CILANTRO!!!! It was mixed in throughout the salad. No escaping it. I had to throw it away...and it really would have been delicious without it. Thankfully I had also ordered some sweet-sour pork and had to eat several bites of it in order to get rid of the fowl cilantro taste. This happens far too often where restaurants add Cilantro without mentioning it as an ingredient. Seems like there oughta be a law!
