When I first encountered cilantro I was very young and naive of what it was and what it taste like. My mom would make my family dinner every night and I would never question her cooking or use of ingredients. That night she made chicken tacos, but not just any chicken tacos, there was cilantro on it. I looked at the green leaves and shrugged it off assuming it was some type of lettuce, but once I took that first bite, I couldn't handle the overwhelming taste of disgusting herb. Ever since that day I try my hardest to stay away from any foods that contain cilantro. It does not please my taste buds and it. never. will.
