I grew up in an Anglo culture. Then some Indonesian friends started taking me to Vietnamese restaurants. Something was wrong so I avoided going out with them. Thai was the same. I worked out that at was Coriander leaves I hate. But in the USA in 2012 every salad had it in it despite my request for no coriander leaves. The in June Lake I saw it in the salad bar and asked the name. Cilantro. It seems it is everywhere now. Fancy cooks tell me to smother my food in it. I will go hungry rather than eat a single leaf of it in a curry for 20. My wife thinks I am eccentric. My brother in law says it is genetic. Then why am I the only one in my family?
