I can't recall how old I was, perhaps junior high when I first ate cilantro. I had been raised on nothing but Taco Bell and never had "real mexican food" as many have dubbed it. But a friend took me to a restaurant and I ordered a Taco. I immediately tasted Soap...This entire thing made me think I was eating Dawn Dishwashing Liquid straight from the bottle. I think I even spit it out it was so bad. They pointed out this spice called cilantro and I knew that was the enemy from that moment on. I have had so many people laugh when I have said I won't eat it, its like I am allergic to this thing the reaction is so bad. But when you tell someone who thinks of this spice as "butter" since its so common, they don't get it.
