I remember this story like it happened yesterday. I was in the 8th grade and there was an Asian market close to our highschool. We would normally go there for lunch and one of my friends ordered a Vietnamese sub at the food court. I asked him if I could take a bite and I thought it was delicious. So I ordered one myself... and here's where things take a turn. I take my first bite...it's good. Then I take my second bite and my tastes buds explode with a soapy taste that I was unfamiliar with. I wanted to spit out whatever was in my mouth and throw it in the garbage. But before I did that, I bring it back to the food court and try and complain thinking something was wrong with it, maybe something was rotten. But I was told there was nothing wrong with it. So I sat down and ate each ingredient separately. When I got to the green like looking leaf I knew that was it. I asked them what this leaf was called and since then I've hated Cilantro for the rest of my life.
